» holisticnurse10 - How scary is that?

It's not unusual for drug companies to underplay the possible negative effects of drugs until we begin to think they're safe. If you follow the history of drugs going on and off the market, you'll see that many "wonder" drugs aren't there anymore because they hurt people, and even killed some of them.
What's your take on on our drug-devoted nation? Are drugs safe or not? Is the FDA watching out over us or is it controlled by drug companies?

» meerkat - Ritalin is not the answer

Hi Carolyn, interesting articles. I was wondering if you'd heard of Dr. David B. Stein who has written Ritalin is Not the Answer; Unraveling the ADD/ADHD Fiasco, and other books. On his website, http://www.drdavestein.com, he has a whole long list of links to info on the dangers of these drugs in the "recommended reading" section. I thought that you might find the info useful.

That is a great question. I wonder if this writer responds to questions? A friend of mine wrote for Suite a few years ago and she said that responding to questions within a day or so was a requirement. I hope that the writer of these articles does respond, this place seems kinda of dead with no interactivity.
