In response to ADHD testing posted by holisticnurse10:
The content in this article is so important.

As a former public school teacher who often was asked to fill out the "ADHD" checklist, I feel that we are in the midst of a real crisis in this country. The checklist is purely subjective with the teacher or parent's personality certainly having an impact on the rating.

With that being said, I believe that normal children are being "diagnosed" with a disorder when the problem is with the educational system and teaching methods.

This is a great site:

It's also important to note that some children are visual spatial learners who are often failed by traditional methods. The same can be true with gifted kids (who are often VS). I've seen many kids diagnosed with ADHD and medicated when a gifted evaluation and/or change in teaching method was needed.

Anyway, I could go on and on, but I won't. Thanks for writing this article.
